About Us
This is a work in process and is under
construction.
I am a volunteer at Bayside
Church in Granite Bay, California.
I have been involved in their
Community Outreach Program since Sept, 2006.
As such I have regular
contact with people who are hurting.
In my conversations with
others who are hurting, I have found that their
needs are varied and their
stories of how they became homeless go back to
an event in their past that
was the trigger. Although the events vary, most
go back to not being able to
afford to pay their rent or mortgage payment.
As I have tried to understand
the "system" out of homelessness, I found that
there are so many
organizations, churches, corporations, government agencies
that it was quite confusing.
This web page is my attempt to sort them out and help
a few people get to the
homefullness line a little quicker.
Reaching out to my community
is an extension of the love that Jesus Christ extended
to me. I have no need
to earn His love. He already gave it forever... It is a
great blessing
just to be able to work with
people who have needs by using the gifts and skills that
He has given me!
