Bayside  Community  Outreach Reaching Out with God's Love to the lost and disadvantaged in the Sacramento area.

 

MAY 2007: NATIONAL MILITARY MONTH

 

 

During National Military Appreciation Month/May
volunteers across America were hard at work on this GIANT salute to
our nation's military and veterans.  The entire effort kicked off in
Sacramento May 4th with the spectacular Home Front Heroes Gala
recognizing excellence locally, state wide and across the U.S.A., while
fueling Operation Home Front and the Coast To Coast-Capital To
Capital National Military Appreciation Month campaign.

 

Military Outreach of Bayside served on 3 major events.

The mission of each of these events was to:

 

Honor Our Brave Men & Women

Garner support for our Military

Spread Patriotism

Raise funds to help local Military families in need

 

 

Service Areas for the Event:

 


 

             PATRIOTIC PINS

            Volunteers made and donated small Royal Blue Ribbons (not Navy blue)

             on safety pins.

 

          Specs:  Ribbon tied in a bow or a loop

                (as seen on “Support Our Troop” magnets on cars)

          Size:  Ribbon thickness is flexible.  Bow/Loop length & size is flexible.

          Must be attached to a safety pin; either tied or hot-glued. 

          Creative flexibility is welcomed.

          Color:  Must be Royal Blue, not Navy

          Goal:  1000’s

ê  Volunteers & people to attended the rallies on May 20th & June 3rd, handed out water and

     cookies to our riders, and showed support and patriotism for their ride.
